Would you attend a book signing by me? Sure!

I live in Phoenix, AZ and I would love to come to a book signing. I may not be too keen on you signing my kindle, but I'd figure something out...

Berkeley CA,

Heck yeah!

I live in Beckley WV and I'd love to attend a book signing but I'm very agoraphobic. There's you a new super hero, Agoraphobic Man. You go on without me Rocket Hat, I'll make sure no one breaks into the Rocket Lair. I'd love to save the world but there's just so damn much of it.

Sure! You'd have to sign my kindle edition somehow though...

This is truly one of the greatest B.I. strips ever. Except for the probable minor side effect of nightmares about Jack Palance.

April 4, 2014 | Unregistered CommenterAnne

Michelle has hit on the fatal flaw of the whole "ebook" concept...

Exeter, Devon.

... UK

Yes, absolutely, especially if it meant you were coming to Britain.

April 4, 2014 | Unregistered CommenterRowan Baker

San Jose, California, and heck yes!

Also, Jack Palance is a scary, scary man.

April 4, 2014 | Unregistered CommenterAmanda

My mom has a thing for the Matthew McConnaughay. McOnahay? Mcconnuhey? That dude with the southern accent. And the Rock. Pretty much any guy with abs who spend most of his screentime shirtless. It's...considerably less awkward than your mom's obsession. I feel like I got a bonus lesson in perspective.

Surrey, North Dakota
Yes.

That sounds like the absolute worst of all possible "Birds and Bees" talks I can think of.

Will you sign my head if I shave it bald and trim my beard down to a goatee?

Also: if I wear a black t-shirt? ;D

Note from Scott: Sure. I'd be even more inclined to do so if you shave your scalp hair into the shape of a goatee.

This cartoon has a disturbing ring of truth about it.

Would I attend your book signing? Sure - but I'm not shaving my scalp hair into the shape of a goatee.

I'm from Steamboat Springs, CO and I'd totally attend a book signing... if it were close enough. I'm in the middle of freaking nowhere.

April 4, 2014 | Unregistered Commenterthestashattacked

All I can see now is Jack Palance doing one handed pushups at the Oscars. At least my mom is not underneath him.

April 4, 2014 | Unregistered CommenterFlem

Houston, Texas
Sure, I would love to go to a book signing. (or a kindle ebook receipt signing)

April 4, 2014 | Unregistered CommenterRasmus

I live in Austin TX and heck ya, I'd come to a book signing by you!

April 4, 2014 | Unregistered CommenterJohn Kirkpatrick

So do you draw funny situations and then invent instructions to fit, or do you take instructions that are too depressing to think about and find a way to make them funny so we can cope with life better?

For the entry questions: Salt Lake City, UT, and yes.

Note from Scott: it can be either, but most often I come up with the situation first then make the instructions fit.

April 4, 2014 | Unregistered Commenterginger

I live in Port St. Lucie FL and I'd definitely attend a signing. Shoot, it would even be worth buying a paper book to have it signed!

April 4, 2014 | Unregistered CommenterCraash420

Could be worse. Try explaining the birds and the bees using Pokemon.

I live in Seattle, WA

I would totally attend a signing if it was in town when I was also in town.

If it is conveniently located and fits into my schedule, sure -- especially if you carry the knowledge stick ("you will learn").

Jack Palance once hosted a reality show with his daughter. I found him creepy and his daughter....creepily attractive. So I get where your mom's coming from, I guess.

I do give him credit for one of the Academy Awards' greatest moments: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AGxL5AFzzMY

Third panel.
Last line.
I'll be laughing tomorrow morning when I wake up and remember that.

April 4, 2014 | Unregistered CommenterDee

Mumbai, India.

And yes, I'll show up. In a Rocket Hat costume. With the moon-manacles on.

Maybe if men stopped needing to see their mothers as asexual, virginal beings they would have an easier time dealing with women's sexuality in general?
