The offer of a place in the box seems very similar to the all too often had "cup of tea conversation" between me and my wife. I enter the room with a cup of tea. Wife: Oh, so I don't get a cup of tea when you make one for yourself? Me: Uhh... Wife: Didn't it even cross your mind? Me: Sorry, Do you want a cup of tea then? Wife: No, but it's nice to be asked.
Will all US readers know what a "sky box" is? A private compartment from which you can't necessarily see the game so well, but that isn't the point, you're there for the privilege?

odd that my enemy list and friend list is nearly identical as well
"it seems that you are my best friend"

So where does the similarity of both lists place Rick? That he is as much his worst enemy as his best friend?
