How to Turn an Enemy Into a Friend (rerun)

In today's Asking the Wrong Guy, Rick answeres the question everyone has wanted to ask: "Are you really the Emperer of the Moon?"

Thanks to everyone who has looked at Missy's new comic project!

Stripper backgammon... Oh my.

Wait, when did Rick grow his hair back out?

Or is it like a wig for Colonel Sanderian occasions such as this?

mint juleps

possibly my favorite basic instructions quote

This is one of my all-time favorites. I love the angry client's reaction to being in an actual gentlemen's club.

I would actually learn the rules of backgammon if strippers were indeed involved.

Sadly, strippers aren't into backgammon...

Rick used to look different. Think "Moon Emperor", except with normal clothes.

HA. This one had me chuckling at the coffee shop. Loud enough that everyone started looking at me funny. That's when I cracked open a fresh case of "You eyeballing me?" Strangely that just made people eyeball me more.

It's a wig. It gets used for the Emperer(sic) for the Moon role as well.

Panel 2 may be my favorite panel OF ALL TIME!

I really like being able to access Asking The Wrong Guy by seeing a reminder on Basic Instructions and following the hyperlin directly from the comic. It makes it much easier to keep track of.

Interesting. My company has now blocked Rick's website for some reason, citing a security risk. I didn't realize his advice was THAT BAD.

IT IS NOT A WIG. Ric used to have longer hair. All of the "Moon Emperor" and "Southern Gentleman" and anything-older-than-2012 copyrighted comics show him with longer hair. IT IS NOT A WIG! Check the (c) folks!

Drowlord: Rick's site crashes my browser for some reason. That might be the problem. I've noticed other sites do this a lot (makezine.com being a big one) but I've never investigated in depth as to what the crashy sites have in common.

Matthew, strippers might not be but I assure you, plenty of escorts would be.

The past couple of reruns have made me realize how well the mock-serious "instructions" used to hilariously complement the panels, and how (while I continue to enjoy reading BI) more recent installations have really neglected the "instructions" part of the strip. I feel as though lately I've been only reading the panels and skipping over the instructions. I think this older style is much better.

I had to read panel 4 a few times to realize how

FULL

OF

ZINGERS

it is ;D

If you don't misrepresent yourself, you are being morally superior. But wait, we are taking of demonstrating, not being. Aw snap!

Angry Customer Guy would rather do *absolutely anything* that involves strippers than act "gentlemanly" with Scott and Rick.
