Question on panel 3: Is She-Rocket Hat a disciple of Karate, the side-kick of Batfink? I remember him yelling "Hiya!" when attacking. The jazz hands, not so much......

July 18, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterKato

Wait a minute, female rocket hat is talking! This feels...unfamiliar...

July 18, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterBurnEdOut

Her fingers store extra rocket hats to fire from the tips.

July 18, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterAdam

She... she talks!? Oh right, It's Allison so of course she talks.

July 18, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterJason

Why does the "female" Rocket Hat have a moustache?

Is it based on an existing character? 'cuz I'm not recognizing him/her.

July 18, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterBrendan

I just made the same face as Allison. Thank you!!

July 18, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterMatthew

I feel a deep disturbance in the force. Then again, I feel that deep disturbance whenever I encounter The Thing That Must Not Be, i.e., Allison.*

*I'm sorry, I meant to say, "ALLISON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

July 18, 2013 | Unregistered Commenterkhereva

So, she's destroying one out of every 10 of the Moon Emperor's troops?

July 19, 2013 | Unregistered Commenterjake

I would have gone with "Rocket Skirt," but that's just me. Also, I would have given her a rocket skirt.

Anyway, I guess if you're gonna make her gimmick be that she talks, Missy's Loud Friend is a good choice for her actor.

July 19, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterLockeZ

This feels very wrong in all orders of magnitude. A rocket hat that is female, talking, and looks excited

Scott delivers again with an unpredictable move

July 19, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterRaestloz

If the goal is to be respectful without being clumsily sensitive, how about "Rocket Hat 2"?

July 19, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterBabyDoc

Jason - she's Canadian - she SHOUTS (it's a long way)

July 19, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterPaddy

I read this on my mobile, so I didn't see panel 3 till I scrolled down. I was envisaging Missy as Rocket Hat a-la-femme, but I suppose she already has a superhero alter ego as the Judger.

July 19, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterJeff

LOL! Win in 4! "I am a gentlemaneven when I'm unscious"! Brilliant!

Quick question, why is She-Rocket Hat not tied up? Rocket Hat is tied up when he is front of The Moon Emperor.

July 19, 2013 | Unregistered Commentermohrorless

I applaud the Moon Emperor. Any old fool can be a gentleman while conscious, but it takes true class to do so while unconscious.

Clearly his sheer classiness is how he achieved his elevated status in the first place, despite multiple defeats.

July 19, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterKieran

Why not simply "Other Rocket Hat"?

Although, it's a Luigi-like identity crisis Rick, if anyone, would be expected of.

July 19, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterDana

I submit that "Rocket Lass" would have been a more elegant name, keeping the cadence of the original classic.

July 19, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterThe Gneech

Obviously, this is a momentous occasion and a turning point in the annals of comic history. I predict the next Comic Con will be awash in excitement over the meaning of this truly defining event. Who could have foreseen such a astounding twist of story line evolution with such far flung future implications? I did not see this one coming.

One can only hope for a future that includes an alliance between She Rocket Hat and the Knifeketeer. This is a natural so I wouldn't expect it to happen - not twisty enough for the BI universe. For myself, this arises out of my desire to see Rick and Allison get together just to see two people put the fun back in dysfunctional.

July 19, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterMr. Obvious

Oh She-hat! Another superheroine....

July 19, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterNoah Vaile

GAH! Ronald D. Moore has taken over Basic Instructions!

July 19, 2013 | Unregistered Commentersnowdog

For some reason, it seems to me that the female equivalent of Rocket Hat ought to be something less, uh, phallic, but I can't think of what a good alternative would be...

jake: So, she's destroying one out of every 10 of the Moon Emperor's troops?

Isn't that nice.

They're speaking English, not Latin. In English, "decimate" means to destroy a large portion of something, and it's meant that for a long time.

July 19, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterSeanF

I would have to go with "Ms-Rocket-Hat" because after all, wasn't she the better Pac Man version?

July 19, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterMickey

Thanks for posting a more lighthearted one, Scott. Just what the doctor ordered.

July 19, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterPrattle Assassin

Yay! Super hero version of Allison!

July 19, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterEaglesQuestions

I believe the appropriate name for the Female Ms. She-Rocket Hat is "Rockette Hat".

July 19, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterSumocat

This feels wrong - because she is talking!

July 19, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterEd

Well, another great instruction. Very interesting.

July 19, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterJerden

No offense intended but in the 3rd panel the womans mouth is uh, hard to make out. It jsut doesn't look like a mouth >.>

July 19, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterFranpa

Missi(le) Hat

July 19, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterOl

My day just got awesome....

My vote is for Ms. Rocket Hat.... :)

July 19, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterJen

Of course we've all wanted to see Rocket Hat actually beating the bejeezus out of the Emperor, rather than just seeing the aftermath. But it would be even more enjoyable to see the Rockette (tip of the hat to sumocat) do it. She would just be so happy and chirpy while wreaking havoc.

July 19, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterMarco

I take it this was inspired by the soon-to-be-introduced first human female Green Lantern?

July 19, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterBaneDeadpool

A rocket hat that is

This feels very wrong. I can feel Moon Emperor's feelings

July 19, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterRaestloz

My vote is for Rocket Lass, as suggested above.

July 19, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterLythande

Rockette Hat

July 20, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterMitsurati

Given what I know and can surmise of Scott and Rick, I thought their female superhero would be more in the "shape" of Supergirl, Power Woman, Wonder Woman, or Vampira.
Or, perhaps they just don't share drawings of those.

July 20, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterMike N

I love the Moon Emperor's knees in panel 3.

July 21, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterDreamLibrarian

Thanks for making Monday a lot better

July 22, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterMe

Rocket Hat Girl deploys Armament of Annoyance!

July 23, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterMatt

Epic!!! I didn't even have to read the comic before almost laughing myself off my chair. Just seeing panel 3 was enough! The contrast between Rocket Hat and his not nearly as quiet female counterpart is classic. Kudos to you Meyer. Great introduction!
