Wow, Scott's recent efforts have improved noticeably. I enjoyed the character development in this one.

Oh my god, the fourth wall got bombarded with cannons it's wide open, but I like it. I like this a lot

Between this comic and "How to Evaluate another person's artistic expression."

We now have two comics about how Scott cannot come to terms with the fact that he is a cartoonist who cannot draw.

Scott apparently has many wonderful talents; not least of which is the ability to not take himself too seriously and to find the humorous possibilities in almost everything. I wish more of us were like that... especially the far-less-funny jokers who run this country. It'd probably be a much more pleasant world if we were.

Uh oh! It's the you-two-have-so-much-in-common jazz hands!

November 20, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterMatt

And would the crappy artist be . . . Scott?

November 20, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterPaddy

Wait, so Younger Rick is really Moon-Man? You never see them together....

November 20, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterDaveBro

"I'm going to leave you two alone" plus jazz hands is really creepy! :)

No comic, no work of art, should be this perfect.

November 20, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterMatt S

soo that's kate, still think she's fem-jenkins

Drawing likenesses of people can be hard.

I hear it's much easier if you trace over a photograph. (Although some people may call that cheating.)

4th wall! Your breaking it down!

Well, Scott has answered a question. I was never 100% certain that this humanoid coworker, who appears with Rick in the 2nd panel, was supposed to be female. It appeared likely, on the whole, but not certain. Now we know that yes, it is a woman, and it has a name.

Jazz hands! My favorites.

The second panel made me laugh way too hard. Like, more than the other 3 panels combined.

Also: Jazz hands!

November 20, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterBAH!

Jazz hands, open mouthed Kate, and Rick essentially losing it. A trifecta of laughs!

November 20, 2013 | Unregistered Commenterjersn

jajaja the caricature artist is damn right, kate and Rick are alike each other, at least the second panel show them like that, and in this case the caricature artist is pretty good, so it is unavoidable.

Jazz hands FTW

Wow, Rick's been getting a lot of positive exposure lately. What was the bet you lost to make you do that, Scott?

November 20, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterMorejello

Lols. I posted about that in the past -- that I didn't realize these two characters were different people. Funny!

November 20, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterDrowlord

So she has a name. Kate. Not "female Jenkins".

November 20, 2013 | Unregistered Commenterjaklumen

Whoa, this is almost too meta for me.
Brilliant though.

Two of my three favorite Scott poses - jazz hands and finger pointing. If only you had worked in Consoling Scott as well (the one with his hand on the victim's shoulder) it would have been everything about Scott to love (or loathe, if one is a character in the strip).

FINALLY! The answer to the question that has been haunting me since HER introduction! All this time I thought Rick had a brother/sister.

November 21, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterPat

OMG they look identical!
