How to Look Beyond the Obvious

A WINNER HAS BEEN SELECTED for a signed copy of my book “Curse of the Masking-Tape Mummy.”

All you have to do is leave a comment on the previous comic (How to Know When It’s Time to Shut Up). Tthe winner will be selected at random on Thursday morning (Feb 16th). As with last time, I'm asking a question that you can, but are not obligated to, answer. I’m told this is a valuable opportunity to gather demographic data about my readers, so my question this week is as follows.
“What demographic data about you should I be trying to gather?”
I look forward to your suggestions.

+1 Rick
This is one of your best!
I know it's always claimed to be about abuse, but I feel like panel 2 pretty much sums up Ric and Scott's entire relationship.

Second panel is my favorite, but it's also nice to see Rick score one in a perfectly appropriate manner.
"Philip got a bit bitey..."
Bloody good movie, that one. And Happy B-Day on Valentine's Day to Shaun himself, Simon Pegg!
Actually, (I am saying "actually" even though I know I shouldn't. Step 1 is admitting that I have a problem...) Shaun Of The Dead is the only zombie movie I can think of in which the zombies and humans do end up co-existing in peace in the end. Humans and Zombies cooperating to build a better tomorrow! I would love to see the artwork for that propaganda poster.
Actually, some of Terry Pratchett's books have zombies as some kind of "heroes". :)
How exactly do you randomly select a comment?
Like you have them all printed on a dart board?
Or you pic an random page and where ever your finger lands when you stop scrolling is it?
Do you use a random number generator?
Wiggi-what's up? How is it done?
Am I TOO curious?
There are no periods in this post. Except that one and this next one.
Dang...(and those three)

Fantastic comic!
Unlike any of the film adaptations, in the book I Am Legend there is a zombie/vampire society. That is the whole point of the book and the reason for the title: the protagonist is a legend among the undead. He is a human monster from a bygone era that kills them during the day and fortifies himself at night.
Hilarious. Panel 2 is genius, and overall, this is one of the best you've ever done.
Demographic: People who are completely average in every way
I think Rick has missed this movie:

So, Ric's been reading Richard Matheson, perhaps?
When the last human falls, zombies will have no food source. Are you happiest at a buffet or in the desert? The zombie utopia would be at the beginning of the zombie apocalypse, not the end.
-1 Rick
...and screw the zombies.
zombie utopia. Awesome.
This movie is from the zombies point of view. It's called "Wasting Away" also known as "Aaah! Zombies!!" I thought they were talking about this movie.

The Movie "Fido" deals with the zombie rising aftermath. There are humans, so it's not a zombie utopia.
Ooh, Jeshka, don't be too hard on yourself over period over-usage at the end of your funny post; you needn't worry about those last three 'periods.' When grouped together like this (...), they are known as an elipsis.
Oh, dear, I just "well, actually"-ed without actually saying "well, actually."
Darned link I followed last time...
As for this strip, I have to agree that panel two is great, and really does seem to sum up the Scott/Rick relationship/dynamic.
Love panel 2. Rule of thumb: sarcasm is like poker, if you cant tell who's the sucker, then it's you.
I really do not have a comment, but your first two books were so good I wanted in on the possiblity of getting your third one gratis. Thank you for making me laugh three times a week plus.
That's still Rick from the mirror universe I bet!
It's really low budget, but there's a movie called 'Wasting Away' that's told from the zombies' perspective. You might like it.

Demographic: how many men look exactly like Scott (comic or real version) and have pretty much the same lives and conversations. I guarantee you that it's more than you think.
He's also missed this movie, which I watched on Netflix (under the name Aaah! Zombies!!) just last week.

I love Rick's expression in the last panel. I imagine that's what victory must feel like. Not that I'd know, of course.
WRong! When the last human is dead, the zombies will have to become FARMERS. What a letdown: sheep brains. Baaaaah.
Demographic data: How many tries is takes me to submit a comment.
Any book signings in the Chicago area?
Panel 2 man, gotta love it.
Shaun: "I'm going to check if the coast is clear."
* walks up ladder, pauses, walks down ladder *
Liz: "Is it clear?"
Shaun: "Nooo."
Liz: "How many?"
Shaun: "Lots!"
--Best scene in the movie!!
Héhé, thanks, still laughing.
Panal 2 is awesome! Someone is making fun of someone . . . I'll let you know when I'm sure who!!!" FTW! Comics where Rick gets a shot in are the best. Thank you for making my day better!

We are the undead
Obviously we're all zombies now, beyond that, unfortunately there's little else? We're all delusional zombies that fail to understand that the others are also zombies in another state of decay, this ultimately leads to the reason why life is horrible, is that we are already dead, and Apocalypse 2012 is when the millage goes into effect stating that the old cemetery where we deathlive and the inscriptions are all worn, will be paved over for a new mall
I'm going to Mozart's, he's got some great putrified corpse goo on tap
'Land of the Dead' does give a bit of screen-time to a positive portrayal of zombies - the gas station attendant zombie is given a somewhat sympathetic portrayal and he leads 'his people' in an exodus at the end - there is a suggestion that humans and zombies could co-exist in the same world.
NGAAAH! It's Smiling Rick! AND he got the upper hand of Scott! Zombie Utopia is nigh!
"Zombie Utopia" -- my next band, if it's not taken already.
If you have never read the book "I am Legend", do so. It is very relevant to this strip.
It is NOT the same as the film, the film is the classic example of a movie that is far, far, worse than the book because some idiot in Hollywood thinks they can write a better story, but was wrong.
If you have seen the film and liked it, read the book and be amazed at what Hollywood did to it to change it for the worse.
If you have seen the film and hated it, read the book and you'll see why the book is a classic.
If you have not seen the film, don't bother, just read the book instead.
Actually after Zombie Utopia...what would the zombies eat? They were seen eating animals in "Walking Dead" but even then sooner or later they will run out of fresh meat - they would have to work together sooner to farm humans for their soylent green as it were.
Demographics - Geekgrrl almost a half century old working in human services industry as a techie :)
Zombies and humans working together... It's actually been done in movies (mostly lower budget films). And them living side by side has been done tons of times (American Zombie, Fido, etc). There are even video games that show zombies in a sympathetic light (Stubbs the Zombie). So Rick just needs to look around more because there are a number of books, video games, and movies that cater to his pro zombie viewpoint.
