How to Amuse Yourself When You're Sick (rerun?)

Here's the deal. Back in '09 I asked Ray to do a guest strip for me, which he did. I thought I ran it at the time, but I cannot find that post now no matter how I search. So, I'm running it now. If I ran it before, I hope you enjoy the rerun. If I didn't run it before, ... hey, new comic!!
The superhero reruns start tomorrow and will go on each day untill I come back. You might be surprised how many of them there are. I know I was.
Thanks for being there.

Ooh! Guest post! Interesting. I love when web comics do guest posts. Keeps things "fresh."
I recently read every strip in the archives, and I did NOT see this!
And am very delighted to see it now! :D This guest strip speaks the truth.
I remember this one. You have posted it before, but maybe it got lost in the transition to the new website.
Is it possible you ran it and didn't archive it? I swear I've seen it. Not that that's a bad thing.
Oh man! Over the years, I've come up with various reasons that I never get sick - regular vodka infusions, I rolled a 20 for CON, lifelong use of public transportation - but apparently I got it right the first time. When I was 6, after viewing the Star Trek episode I, Mudd, I became convinced that the best explanation for why I was not like the other children was that I am an android.
We've had:
BDARG
NGAH
BDGAAA
But my new favorite is: krplunchzxf.
I know I HAVE read this strip, but it IS a very good Basic Instruction by proxy that only looks like a Basic Instruction in that a) it Instructs in a Basic way, and b) it uses familiar characters. it just doesn't c) follow the same four-panel format or d) get drawn from photos. whatever. not that Scott is actually SICK at this point, but I think this is a great strip to jump-start the superhero reruns! bring 'em on! recuperate for as long as it takes! but be sure to heal fast and feel better and rejoin us as soon as you can, Scott! whee!!!!!! (can I have your leftover pain meds?)
I think I've seen this before, but I'm not 100%. It could have been something similar.
I definitely remember seeing it before. Good comic tho!
Those of us who sneeze loudly don't do it for fun. We do it because they build up quite a bit involuntarily, and if we try to hold them back to be "gentle," it's actually incredibly freaking painful. Although I at least do so into my elbow/shoulder, not all over the room. In conclusion, it's safer to hug me on my left side. ;)
Get well soon, Scott! (trite saying but truly said with meaning)
To all readers: Scott does not "promote" himself very much at all. If you have not bought his 2 books of comics, then please do so. Yes, you can read them all here, but there is something about reading them on the "throne" and/or seeing them on paper that adds nuance that must be experienced. I have not regretted spending the money on them.
I remember seeing this one. I was aghast as it was more than 4 panels.
You did run this before...3/5/09, to be exact.
BLAF!
That is indeed quite the enjoyable way of sneezing.
I dig the hand-drawn versions of the regular characters. Yes, I'LL ADMIT IT, it took me a few panels to realize that.
Stifling sneezes is the number one cause of head explosions. And it sounds ridiculous. Don't do it.
For Scott, a quote from Siegfried of Get Smart fame:
There is no bleeding in Kaos. [said with bad German accent]
krplunchzxf.
I don't know if it's more amazing that that's actually a decent onomatopoeia or that it's as funny as it is.
Here Scott, let me help you out with that. For some reason this previous comic wasn't indexed so I don't know the full URL. The file was 2009-03-05-guest-strip.gif and would be between these two: -

Dear Mr. Meyer - I can't tell from the 'rerun' nature whether or not you're sick right now, and the 'when I return' may refer to illness or vacation. But I certainly enjoy your advice and am praying for your quick recovery... or good 'recharging' if you're on holiday. Wishing you the best... -Tim
ooh, hoping you get better soon..nous sommes miss you!
Ooooh a guest? Yeah I was wondering what was up with the new style. New things scare and anger me.
Is that supposed to be Scott, or did you just decide to draw Maddox?
