I watch that show too! I hate it when that guy and that other guy try to be smart - it's much better when the girl does the thing that makes her look hot.
Am I going insane/breaking the bonds of my linear perception of time(I AM ALL), or was this one posted on Cracked a couple of months ago? It seems unlikely that cracked would get a hold of new strips well before they were posted on the main site, but this is the 3rd or 4th new strip that I remember word-for-word in the last few months.
You can read Scott's explanation as to why here http://basicinstructions.net/news/2010/7/16/the-kind-of-problem-you-want-to-have.html
Scott, that's an excellent description of most of the episodes of an acronym show, I'd never noticed the casting similarities between them before you blatently spelled them out. Great humour comes from pointing out the obvious in a new way!
I really did laugh out loud at this strip unlike most of those overusing LOL. Keep up with the good work, and glad to hear from your website you can cut down on the day job a bit. Must go and find out what cracked.com is now...
As Scott has mentioned, part of his deal with Cracked is that they get first crack (buh huh) at his comics. If they run the comic there, he delays running it here for a couple of weeks. Of course, they don't run all his comics, and the ones they don't pick up get posted right away over here.
I read all the comics here. However, after getting Scott's books I must admit that reading his comic strips while taking care of business (bathroom) at home instead of at work allows me more time to truly enjoy his humor.
If you can, buy his 2 books. It is worth it even if you have read every single strip.
The sad thing is that they lost the good writer, and the new writers are under instructions to keep the show in the same style, so now the formula will be extra-formulaic! (great comic!)

Meta-humour at the end. I love it.

Lol @ "you're just messing with me now"

Almost choked on my muffin in the first panel. Dangit, Scott! I thought you always waited till the third panel for the really muffin-choking jokes.

I usually read the strips via the RSS feed, which seems to be lacking ads. Not that I'm complaining about it but you might want to think about it...
Artemis, you are not going insane. Or if you are, it is an insanity that we both share. I remember this one and a few others from Cracked as well.
Speaking of cracked, eff the haters there. Basic Instructions rocks!

@Mystrana
Yes, Cracked.com got them first.

Why are Scott's best lines always in the third panel? Great strip, btw.
A good way to avoid this distressing state of mind in the future would be to stop reading this comic in Cracked. Just saying.....
It's CSI - NY, right?
"Your coworkers saw you yesterday." But this is a Monday strip....
You are not insane, a few comics back Mr. Meyer explained that Cracked gets dibs on new comics and they show up here a little later.
Artemis: I seem to recall Missy saying on her blog site that some of the new comics get sent to Cracked before they get put here.
Anyway, funny as usual.

Yeah, CRACKED is the greatest humor mazagine on the web, and adding BI made it even awesomer.
While the CRACKED forums can be hilarious, the article comments section is worse than Mos Eisley.
Unlike here, of course, where the comments are often quite funny on their own.
I love the 2nd panel. There are a lot of shows like that.
The sad thing is that they lost the good writer, and the new writers are under instructions to keep the show in the same style, so now the formula will be extra-formulaic!

muffin-choking jokes.
Damn it, morejello, the commenters are NOT supposed to be as funny as Scott is!
That one's going into my repertoire. Along with "You're just messing with me now." So Scott has that going for him.
Parallelism for the win!
... why did the description make me think of Fringe?
