This comic perfectly describes how every cat I've ever known and I have interacted. I still talk to them like they're human, because a good cat is superior to most humans by so far it's not even funny.

I have three cats that do this, and one of them wants to be pet but is reluctant to let me pet him. I guess being born and spending a month in the basement does that to you.

'Oh, you wicked little thing!' cried Alice, catching up the kitten, and giving it a little kiss to make it understand that it was in disgrace. -- Lewis Carroll, Through the Looking Glass

I like the implication that Scott is the pet and the cat is modifying his behavior.

Wow, I just got that.

And yes, my cats have trained me very well.

The first panel alone was enough to make me laugh out loud because that's exactly how I am with my cat in the morning. The rest of the comic is the rest of the day...every day... Cats always win...

I have watched this scene play out between my boyfriend and his cat a dozen times...this cat even kinda looks like his. I laughed so hard I feel out of my chair

This reminds me of one of our cats... he's neurotic. He is the only animal I've ever met who is both terrified of people and ridiculously needy.

"Pet me!"

We've all been trained to obey our cats ... heil kitty

You could probably get your cat to stop meowing by cuddling it every time it meows. Cats are perverse that way.
