It's funny because it is true. I sell comics on the side at the flea market and I get these kinds of folks all the damn time. Only I can't flee! Well, a little, but they FOLLOW.

You have it backwards. Trekkie is the preferred term.
Actually, at least how I learned it, Trekkie is the die-hard fans that dress up in costumes at conventions. Like the guy in the strip. Trekkers are more moderate. And yes, I am a trekkie, but this still made me laugh. Because it's true.
pleasant is spelled wrong, is that on purpose?
