I have to confess (truthfully) one of my favourite food is French fries dipped in ice cream. Vanilla milkshakes also work. It is possible my favourite food of all time. Yes I am as weird as I sound. So I wholly support the idea of friescream!

Nice twist at the end

March 4, 2010 | Unregistered Commenterittarter

deep fried ice cream is actually pretty nice.

Frighteningly enough, my sister actually eats fries that she dips in soft serve ice cream, and swears by it. It worries me.

March 5, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterMakoforte

More than half the comments are on the typo. One comment's enough! Geez.

I know a couple people who swear that Wendy's fries dipped in a Frosty is a great combo.

March 5, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterShane

All I know is that I **LOVE** wendy's frosty scooped up with french fries. I would buy "french friescream"

March 5, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterShem

I happen to love a burger and fries and a shake (which is ice cream that you can drink). I dip my fries in the shake. So, from experience, fries and ice cream go very well together.

Ironically, the swimming pool analogy made me laugh so hard I nearly wet myself.

1: French fries
2: Ice Cream
3: ??????

Just wanted you to know, you misspelled a word. It should be "They're insights..." in panel 4.

March 5, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterJennifer McCown

Are you intentionally making fun of people who dip their french fries in their milkshakes? Because I think those people are weird.

March 5, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterBrandon J

Wow, all these people pointing out a typo which had been corrected by the time I saw the comic.

March 5, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterMP

When the overwhelming majority of comments are pointing out the same error, I begin to think that I'm supposed to join in the fun--even though the error has been corrected. So...

Scott, you might have spelled something incorrectly.

March 5, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterCatBallou

That Was funny. the last one rocked.

YEs, I am drunk, and in Croatia!!!! tomorrow I'll be neither of those things.

NOte: I saw this when I was sober. I LOLd.

Cheers from Croatia. Tomorrow, from Portugal!

March 5, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterFabio

Am I the only one who thinks one or two mentions of a spelling error should be sufficient? (Or did all these get sent before the first spelling correction actually posted here?)
Good puns on throwing the idea out there, though.
Love the strip - I and my friends occasionally get ideas...

Warm spot in a swimming pool? - LOL

March 6, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterNiri

What if you put the ice cream inside the french fries? That could work.

March 6, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterJacobX

My husband (who is a professional baker) got a book of ice cream recipes. I'll have to check and see if there are any potato-based ones. He does have a vintage candy cookbook with a recipe for potato fudge.

By the by, I did make a batch of lavender ice cream from the first book. It tasted the way lavender smells, which I suppose was the idea. Even my twelve-year-old son, who will eat anything that walks, flies, swims or can crawl out of a bucket, stopped after one bowl.

Mmmmm....discus. NOM NOM NOM

March 7, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterAtheismo

I'm surprised nobody's pointed out that a lot of advertising shots of ice cream used to be mashed potato(e), as it's easier to work with than the real stuff. French fries and screaming? Classic :o)

March 7, 2010 | Unregistered Commenterschmoe90

All this talk about potato-based recipes is disgusting. Potatoes are for making vodka, and nothing else.

I live in Scotland. For quite a few years now, fish and chip shops have been dipping Mars(a bit like Hershey if you're from the US)bars in batter and deep frying them. I've never been able to come even close to trying them.
A good try at weirdness, but sadly, somewhere else on the globe, it's been done already.

I enjoyed the strip as ever and please ignore the idiots who look at the spelling and don't appreciate the humour.

March 8, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterIan

"French friescream" made me laugh out loud while my boss was twenty feet away...

May 6, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterJess

this is actually feasible. imagine small rectangular prisms with bready shells, filled with ice cream..

if i see that on the market within the next five years, i will come and kill everyone who has commented here in their sleep.

July 5, 2010 | Unregistered Commenteraar

Dipping french fries in ice cream or into shakes is inherently awesome. I suggest everyone to try it at least once.

July 21, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterEcho

French fries cream really made me LOL... whew...!!!

"Now I have two ideas. One of them is to pee on you."

June 28, 2011 | Unregistered CommenterJohn

I have sometimes used McD-s icecream coctail as a dip-in condiment for their french fries.

September 17, 2011 | Unregistered CommenterJP

Hmm... Is it bad that I think the potato ice cream with crispy fried batter actually sounds good...?
Well, off to get a milkshake and a can of shoestring potatoes...

November 2, 2011 | Unregistered CommenterTabbykitten13

Since you all don't seem to know - french fries and ice cream do go together. Try Wendy's fries with a McD's twist cone. But I don't think you can put it in a pint.
Yeah... I had a very unproductive adolescence.

But "Deep Fried Brownie Sundae"... Bits of brownie battered and fried, stirred into vanilla ice cream with chocolate and caramel swirl. Where do I get that?

January 24, 2012 | Unregistered Commentercoyoteawooo

French fries are good 'cause they're hot and salty. Ice cream is good 'cause it's cold and sweet.
