When I saw the title in my feed I thought it said "pre-flight" so I was expecting something entirely different. Although I'm sure Jazz Hands of Fury would've shown up anyway. Because all roads lead there eventually.
Maybe they'll have different hot sauces to add to the wings. Too late now, but if I'd been asked ahead of time I would have suggested making whoever eats the most hot wings without taking a drink. This could be interesting as I could see Scott coating a wing in 3am reserve just to win and causing permanent damage.
This is the first time I've ever felt compelled to make a comment on a webcomic, but this one was great. I also believe it's the first time a webcomic has had me physically laughing. Nice work.
I am still wanting to know more about the war with the moonmen. You left it as a cliffhanger. Did the moonmen ever re-cut the chinstrap? Did rocket man claim final victory? I lay asleep at night wondering....
This reminded me of the old Bill Cosby routine where the boys saw a tough guy pop in a stick of gum before fighting. All the boys started doing that, but when Bill saw a kid pull the gum and start chewing, would pop the guy first.
I must agree with you, Jiggly... I'm not the world's most avid "reader" (I never found a genre to hold my attention) but I do know HOW to read, and I think I'm not mistaken in saying that the "text" that takes up all the space in these COMICS is, um, hello? DIALOGUE for the IMAGES... right? If you were to remove the "pictures", this "article" would make NO SENSE at all. Why people gotta be haters?

Another case of violins inherits the system ...no, wait, that's not right ...start again!
hang on, how can you tell which of you ate the hottest wing? will you each taste a bit?
I must say, the dialogue in the first panel totally made my day.
JAZZHANDS!
Violence fights are the best kind.
Remeber, knowing is half the battle... the other half is violence
teh, irony, teh genious!
it's great
Pleaseohpleaseohplease a t-shirt that says "Beware the jazz hands...of fury!" I would never take it off.
Awesome. I have a feeling I will be reenacting the first frame when I am challenged to such combat. Thank you for arming me with such powerful words.
Hoo-man! I never laughed so hard... "Fosse Fu," "Jazz hands" (of fury!)...LOL, this strip is one singular sensation, I tell you. Spot on, Scott!

Awesome, this is exactly the sort of brilliant humor that keeps me coming back ;)
HA! Avid reader and first time poster... couldn't help it, this one is freaking hilarious!
Well done sir. You had me at Jazz Hands.
couldn't there have actually been just a little violence, maybe a slap or spit in the face?
you can't be serious... this is Scott and Rick we're talking about!
Scott, EXCELLENT comic! And the comments keep me laughing too. Love it. Absolutely love it.
I second that!

This is NOT a web comic. If the text takes up more space than the images, then it is an article with pictures.
[...] Scott Meyer’s Basic Instructions is bloody good this [...]
maybe scott could have done the tap solo of terror?
yes, jazz hands t-shirt, i'd buy.
Great as usual. One thing: it's "whom I will have sent...", noi "who...". Just sayin'...
You should try real buffalo wings.

...say those with poor reading skills.
Bloody brilliant.

This is Possibly the best comic you've ever made. To be sure, though, it'd have to fight it out with "How to Fake a Smile"
...of fury.
It's cool i agrees.
I simply love the “Fosse Fu,” “Jazz hands” part. Hilarious. :)
modern people dont fight physically
So did I...
Fo Shizzle. That would be classic!
I remember having arguments like this with Pirates in The Secret of Monkey Island!
Do you mean "violence inherent in the system"?
I'm disappointed.
That'd be perfect!!!!

Love your comics, Scott. Love 'em!
