How to Explain Why You Like Something

I’ve gone part time at my day job. As of now I am a full-time cartoonist who has a job on the side, as opposed to the other way around. This wouldn’t be possible if not for the support of everyone who has subscribed, donated, sponsored, or purchased stuff from me or through my Amazon Affiliate links (US, UK, Canada), and I hope you know I appreciate it.
Now, let’s talk about the means of that support! The subscription service continues to gain subscribers at a slow but steady pace. Due to popular demand I’ve added a yearly PayPal payment option as well as the monthly. Many people wrote that they distrust PayPal, and wanted an alternative. I think I’ve come up with the perfect solution for those people, and I will be announcing it next week at this time.
Thanks again everybody. Now Missy and I are going to eat something unhealthy to celebrate!

Congrats on being a full time artist Scott! ^o^
Your comics are great so I'm sure they will continue to gain popularity and you are able to put more time into them and such.
On a side note, I dislike chicken AND pain.
I guess I'm not a man...*sniff*
"Pain and chicken"
FTW :D
Congratulations on your becoming a full-time cartoonist. I've enjoyed your work for quite a while.
Will the celebration involve Hot Wings - you know, just for you - as a test of your manhood?
So, you'll be spending less time with Jenkins, Mullet Boss, and AggroTurd? Congratulations!
Aw, good for Rick!
Congratulations! *happy dance*
You and Ric can celebrate with pain-and-chicken wings.
Congratulations on becoming a full time cartoonist.
Look at how good Rick is at standing right there. Incredible!
Yee-haw! Well done Scott. You know, I got into your comic via Dilbert (attempted change of format time) and from your comic I got into Brewster Rockit.
What else does the future hold?
Wow, congratulations Scott!
I learned about your work during the short time I was reading Scott Adams' blog and your path crossed with his. Nothing against Mr. Adams' (I still read Dilbert everyday), but I find that M,W,F are a bit more special.
Congratulations! Yippee! Hurrah! No one ever got rich working for someone else. And certainly no one ever found happiness working working at something that kept them from their passion.
I wish you and Missy well.
"if the wings are too hot I flap my arms around."
Like a chicken? You are what you eat, I guess! :-D
Great comic this morning. I laughed out loud at each panel.
Hm, I too discovered your comic while reading Scott Adam's blog. That was a good blog, 'til he changed the blog and then it sucked -- or at least was harder to read for some reason. I forget what happened.
Anyhoo, congrats on the employment upgrade!
Congratulations! I am delighted at the improvement in your fortunes, as long as it doesn't lead to a lack of new material for your strip! Much like your relationship with Ric, our joy is often derived from your suffering.
@AC - that's funny, that's when I found this comic too! How long ago was that?
Scott - congrats on full time cartooning!
Congratulations! As a present I had contemplated throwing in a grammar error so you could delight in the agony of the grammar Nazis. But I thought better of it, after all thier people too.
I think you and Ric should go celebrate at the gentleman's club...mmmmm...mint julips!
I look into your future and I see.......
daily comic strips .....yeay!!!

Looks like Scott Adams' plug brought in quite a few readers. That's how I came here, too. You need to milk him for another endorsement (and maybe another cartoonist). Looks like a lot of people follow blogs only temporarily, so it may be a whole new crowd, now.
Like AC and Rob, I am glad that the old Dilbert blog brought you to my attention (and that I was able to share that with all my friends).
Love your work!
Congratulations, Scott. That is a big step for you and a win for your fans.
Congratulations!
As for hot wings, just what IS it about them that make them so popular, anyway?
I’m a chicken without pain guy (sweet BBQ), which might make me less of a man than Rick, which is unsettling.
Congratulations on the transition! It makes me happy to see people succeed doing things they like. It’s inspiring, actually, and fun to watch unfold.
Congrats, Scott!
I have to ask:
how will this new full-time statues effect output? Will Parkinson's law rear its ugly head?
Note from Scott: From your point of view, perhaps. I don't plan to bump up to four comics any time soon. Instead, I have other things related to the comic that I either have never had time to do, or had to rush in the past. Now, with luck, I should be able to give them the attention they deserve.
@ashley, at least a couple of years if not over 3?
@Frank, while I am not a grammar nit-picker, nice misspelling thrown in their.
"I'd rather you got some exercise."
For some reason, gynohumans seem to believe that they are entitled to a preference about what any androhuman does.
I'm still trying to work out why this is.
And to reconcile this with any notion that patriarchy exists or is a meaningful threat.
Well done - excellent to see someone winning ;)
BTW - Allo 4 panels made me LOL. Keep up the excellent work!
"Pain and chicken fat."
There, I fixed that for you. Congratulations on the milestone. My brother-in-law turned me on to your strip. He's so hip that he can't stand up.
I don't know how you did it, but I didn't notice Rick was in the panel until I got to his word bubble. Bravo, sir!
Good for you! Hope it works out well. And Rick FTW!
I applaud your success! I'm envious as well - my plan is to do much the same with the exception being I'm a writer and not a cartoonist. Nonetheless, I love success stories such as this! I'm nearly making as much selling books as I do at my dayjob, but I'm excessively cautious.
Thanks for succeeding! Oh, and for writing an always entertaining comic.
Congratulations! Celebrating with pain and chicken sounds perfect!
Congratulations and well done, that's a great milestone.
Now keep going... there's many like me relying on you as an example of what a real person can do when focus and work hard at their dream.
Congratulations!
Also, this comic doesn't help me explain why I like My Little Pony. Bleh.
