I'm glad I'm not the only one who think Rick winning is disagreeable.

So Rick doesn't like it when he wins. What a loser. Therefore, he wins. Wait, I'm confused...

Awwww! I think it's funnier when Rick wins sometimes! it makes him more than a predictable, single dimensioned cartoon figure, even if that is what he is in real life . . .

okay I'm confusing myself. I still like it when Rick wins. And your cat wants a remote controlled helicopter.

Did Rick win this conversation?

Wait - if cartoon-Rick never again wins, does that mean he wins this strip???

Rick FTW!

I feel kind of terrible for Rick. :( Cheer up, guy, it can't be gloomy every day!

Duck season. Fire!

I eagerly await the introduction of taller Rick!

Rick wins in this one.

This one left cocktail on my keyboard and screen. Making the protagonist spittle-covered and indomitable.

I'm high class still, but even the snootiest fan can have a spit-take.

and top shelf gin makes for an excellent spit-take.

...and I never specified the protagonist.

Oh man! What a great comic!

A 'taller" Rick is dignified?
Ack!
Attack of the 50 foot Rick ...

In reply to The KFV, no, for the purposes of this comic, Real Rick doesn't like it when Fictional Rick wins. Real Rick probably would like to win.

Sadly, the fact they are two separate entities prevents your humorous paradox.

So, even when he wins, Rick still loses. How sad.

Someone should film a documentary about this strip being turned into a movie. You could call it "Comic strip of a phone conversation about the same comic strip: The Movie: The Making Of".

Ah Rick! If only I had a friend I could mercilessly mock in the way that Scott mocks you. And they say Americans don't "get" banter (the Brits do say this, they say it all the time).

March 7, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterMike Geordie Brown

In the next script, hes going to be 7 foot tall, isn't he? Dooo eeeeet

March 7, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterRowan

Great one! Thnx Scott.

Taller I can do...that made me giggle. A compromise that does nothing to address the original concern, but nonetheless makes the complainer think he won. You, sir, are a master negotiator.

Rick-the bizzarro world's Charile Sheen.

March 7, 2012 | Unregistered Commenterdeimos

Best. Comic. Ever.

"Envying a fictional version of myself does not make me happy."

Brilliant.

March 7, 2012 | Unregistered Commentereljaspero

"Positivity eclipse". Brilliant!!!

Unfortunately that also describes my job...

March 7, 2012 | Unregistered Commentermohrorless

OMG, awesome! The twists and turns of this one is pure gold!

If a liar says he isn't lying, do you believe him?
