Am I going to have to rent "Big Trouble in Little China"? My wife is out of town this weekend, so it's a perfect time to watch a really good really bad movie.
If Big Trouble isn't the right choice, does anybody have other suggestions?
I saw Big Trouble in Little China at the movies when it came out, in Chinatown. Everyone got into the spirit of the movie. When someone on screen screamed or yelled, the audience screamed along as well. The scene where Jack shot into the air and caused a chunk of roof to fall, the guy sitting behind me was roaring so hard, he'd bent so far forward in his seat that his head was right next to mine. The eye contact was initially awkward but turned into a bro moment thanks to all the shared, manly screaming we were doing. It was one of the most fun movie experiences I've ever had. I walked out buzzing and I had a smile on all day. Yes, it totally shaped my taste in movies. People who don't love BTLC are just Wrong. Sorry, Missy.
I doubted my upcoming decision to marry my X when she couldn't make it through BTiLC. If only I had followed my gut. Jack Burton could have saved me, but I wouldn't listen.
I believe Missy not liking Big Trouble in Little China would count as irreconcilable differences... All you'd have to do is say "Your honor, she doesn't like Big Trouble in Little China". After the various gasps and out bursts of rage from those witnessing the proceeding, the judge would have no choice but to annul the marriage.
Yeah, sorry MIssy, going to have to fall on Scott's side of taste for this one. You just lucked out with a really classy man. If I could get my husband to go out of his way for Jason Statham and Big Trouble in Little China, I think we'd get along much better.
Escape from New York Escape from LA Strange Brew (I am Canadian after all) Cobra Time Bandits and maybe any Mel Brooks movie (I have all of these in my collection).
Good for a theme movie weekend. I've done that in the past - 80's campground movies, 90 sci-fi movies, 60/70 cartoons... enjoy and you can thank me on Monday.
If you like Big Trouble in Little China even a little, you NEED to see the fan edit known as the "Fully Engorged Edition." You owe it to yourself. http://fanedit.org/369/

Why do our intransigent wives refuse to admit how totally awesome and cool Jason Statham is?

Panel 3 made me laugh like an idiot. Yes... like an idiot.
You know what Jack Burton would say at a time like this.
My girlfriend loves Jason Statham and refers to him as the "poor man's Bruce Willis". Yes. I do have an awesome girlfriend.
Just saw Sucker Punch in theaters. Got back to find this comic up. Was happy.
See it. It's everything good in a movie (ie. sexy women and violence) and none of those useless filler bits (ie. plot).
How in god's name is there no "previous comic" button on this page?

Your answer for Suckerpunch is that it's based on a comic (book) and you want to support the artist.
My wife's already said that she doesn't care to see it, but it looks like pure eye-candy awesome.
*wonders at the statistics for the googling for BTiLC after this comic*
Based on the last panel... Scott may have to get divorced.
BTiLC is a fantastic flick. Right up there with Highlander.....

Cristoph, there is a "previous instruction" button, just go back a comic to see the comment about it.
Oh wait...
"Big Trouble in Little China" is the best. Now I have to go rent it so my kids can see it.
Panel 3 wins the Internet, today.

Alas, I have to go out and buy my own.
