I believe that Basic Instructions is my favorite webcomic!
I also believe that in panel 2 of this particular comic, you shouldn't capitalize "Rabbis" or "Priests," and that in panel 3, "no standard" would be best, though "not a standard" could work.
Note from Scott: You are right, and it has been fixed. Thanks!
ah, but you assume that the word choices are/were insignificant! upon what basis do you make that assumption? others see those word choices as deliberate, and considering the amount of deliberation used in the creation of the words, I wonder if the others are not more correct.
Ah! Pantone... I resent their authoritarian dictation of such a subjective thing as color definition. Also, I want to work there so bad! The first colorimeter was invented to measure brownness. Of beer specifically. Fun!

Are those new drawings in the last panel? It's like there's a whole new side to the strip we've never seen before.
I was thinking Maroon, but I guess that's purpler (which, according to Google Chrome, is a word)...

Coffee? Sienna? I think there might be an answer in a crayola 64 pack..... :P
"Absolute Brown" = Hilarious in and out of context :D
I think that you are right. Awesome Scott. Maybe "leather" works for orange right?
That last panel is a home run. I couldn't agree more about Fred Schneider.
I say chocolate.
Crayola says burnt umber.
Chocolate.
Sepia is dark brown.
Hazel?
Constitutional scholars debate comma placement, not word choice. What sort of fool would quibble over words?
Mahogany?
maroon is actually a shade of red. Dark brown shades would be auburn, bistre or chocolate.
HTH
I used to play drums for the band "Absolute Brown"...
Also, is that the silhouette of a chicken in the woman's hair (4th panel)??
chocolate
Just caught myself as I was about to google "dark brown". Russet?
Damn! I googled "Russet".
Russet is a dark brown color with a reddish-orange tinge

Really, Scott, I didn't think you'd be jumping on the 3D bandwagon too!
In panel 4, is that a rooster in the back of her head?
http://www.answers.com/topic/griffe is in the language, though not very current or a good way to think.
Ebony. There, end of argument.
