AWESOME!! Gotta love Rocket Hat!

I find it admirable that Rocket Hat never speaks during his detainment.

this was great! but i prefer omnipresent man.

If his hat self destructed, how did he escape?

October 1, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterCharles

Silent but deadly

October 1, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterMatis

RH is cool!

October 1, 2010 | Unregistered Commenterreader

Wait... if Rocket Hat's helmet self destructed, does that mean he LOST HIS POWERS?!?!?!?

October 1, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterPatrick

So now that his rocket hat has been destroyed is he called "The superhero formerly known as Rocket Hat"?

October 1, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterMatchstickman

I am somewhat disturbed by the crony's pose in the third panel.

October 1, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterSam

If the hat has self-destructed, does this mean we won't see the Rocket Hat character any more? Or will he come back with a new hat? Or hatless?

October 1, 2010 | Unregistered Commenterjrandomlemur

just noticed the moon-man insignia. brilliant.

October 1, 2010 | Unregistered Commentermicah

LOL, love it, Scott.

The joy and curse of having thinking folks enjoy your witty comics. Sometimes we think a tad too much and a bit linearly.

Scott,

Unrelated to the comic but to the website. ad.turn.com is really laggy from where I access the comic. It looks like it is busy loading all the flashy ads before it loads your comic?

Next comic: How to deal with continuity issues in a superhero comic.

October 1, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterStaneslav

A resourceful hero always has a backup plan. Preferably several - and Rocket Hat has proven himself time and time again to be MacGyver-esque in his brilliant resourcefulnessness.
A possible means of escape might be to steal the ship that brought him there, during the confusion of the original Hat's self destruction (a classic move).
And a vital part of designing a self-destruct into your costume is having spares on hand, OR an uber-awesome upgrade waiting to make its debut (another classic). Oh no, friends, we have not seen the last of Rocket Hat . . . or his Hat . . .

> this was great! but i prefer omnipresent man.

But Omnipresent Man was in this comic!

October 1, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterOmninonymous

One of the best in a long while! A literal "lol"

October 1, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterS. Kyle Davis

Yes, the crony in the third panel appears to be enjoying the pleasures of a moon-girl.

October 1, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterJH

I'm pretty sure RH has a steady supply of hats. I'm also pretty sure that he has a torpedo hat for aquatic adventures.

October 1, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterKent

In the event that the Rocket Hat's current hat becomes non-operational another is automatically dispatched from the Silo of Solitude and homes in on his position. That or the fabulous first appearance of Bottle-Rocket Boy!

Actually, now I'm not sure which of those I'd want to be true.

Now I know what costume I'm going to wear at next year's WonderCon. ROCKET HAT FTW!

October 1, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterBonzoGal

Could a movie be in the works?!?!?! One can only hope...that Omnipresent Man is not too good at keeping secrets, and we will find our soon enough. RH and the Temple of Dudes? Please say it is so, as I certainly will not be putting that into Google as a search term from work.

October 1, 2010 | Unregistered Commentergreymase

I really think Rocket Hat needs to be pitched to DC, Marvel, Image, or some other comic company.

October 1, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterTlalocW

Oh come on, people!
They destroyed the original Enterprise just to explain the new sleeker design, why can't the Rocket Hat self-destruct to save its inventor? (new design will,of course, be sillier)

October 1, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterDee

ah yes. the return of the Moonman Chronicles. I see a book forthcoming.
