the rules: scisors cuts paper, paper covers rock, rock crushes lizard, lizard poisons spock, spock smashes scissors, scissors decapitates lizard, lizard eats paper, paper disproves spock, spock vaporizes rock, and as it always has, rock crushes scissors..... is how it goes.
I've been trying to get people started on Pirate-Ninja-Zombie, but I fear that everyone will argue over the pirate/ninja combination regardless of which I say wins.
As it stands: - Ninja sneaks on board at night and assassinates the pirates in their sleep - Pirates kill zombies with their numbers and artillery - Zombies weather ninja attacks due to lacking vitals to target
I think Missy was thinking he would pick rock because he is thinking that she is thinking of picking scissors to beat his supposed paper, so her best option was to pick paper to beat his rock which is supposed to thwart her supposed scissors. Yes, I actually worked that through when I saw her say, "He won't start with paper again."
I think her final answer was the best, but then again, she could have flashed him and said "Sex! As in you're aren't getting any tonight unless you wash the dishes."

@Tim McCormack My friend and I once had an eight-hand-draw playing RPS. On our ninth hand we both threw Gun, from Carrot Gun Rabbit. Now that was spooky. We decided not to play against each other after that.

I once tied 15 times in a row before winning. It was... spooky.
I think I would have to resort to using the "rock, paper, scissors, lizard, spock" method from the show Big Bang Theory.
I loved that bit, but I can never keep what does what to whom straight :S

I feel compelled to share the much more complicated and obscure rules featured here.

Take that, Big Bang Theory.

Fire beats everything. Except for water balloon.
If Missy is really thinking "He won't start with paper again", then surely she should go with rock? Her logic is flawed.
I think she was just trying to avoid a draw.

People don't seem to realise that the lizrd-spock version is actually quite old.
Somewhere there's a 100 hand signal version. It comes with notes. It needs them.
